Church of LinstowThe Village of Linstow

Those seeking relaxation will particularly enjoy our village Linstow, adjoining the Nature Park Nossentiner/Schwinzer Heide. In addition, Linstow is also home to the Museum for Wolhyniers, a national historical site. The Museum was opened in 1993 as a memorial to the moving past of the Wolhynier Germans. Wolhynia is a region in the western part of the Ukraine, whose German settlers were forcibly removed as a result of the Hitler-Stalin Pact. Seventy-two survivors of the inhumane resettlement found their way to Linstow in 1946/47. Every year, people come to the little village of Linstow for the "Wolhynier Festival."

The MillThe Village of Kuchelmiss

The village of Kuchelmiss is quite close to the nature conservancy "Nebel." The learning path through the Nebel valley leads to the Old Mill of Kuchelmiss, a monument of technology built in 1791. Today the Mill is the home of a Mill museum. It is a tradition that every year during summer the Mill Festival takes place. Originally, the mill was part of the castle at Kuchelmiss, built from 1863 - 1866 and destroyed about a hundred years later. The last owner of the castle was Prince Albert of Saxony– Altenburg, Duke of Saxony. He is best remembered by a visit to his grave near the town of Wilsen, not far from Kuchelmiss.

The Village of Hoppenrade

The quaintness of this village with its many pretty avenues will delight you. Of particular interest are the Linden Avenue between Luedershagen and Klein Grabow and the Chestnut Avenue between Koelln and Luedershagen. Nature and history buffs will find the grave mounds in Luedershagen and Koppelow particularly interesting.

The Village of Dobbin

The Village of Dobbin is situated directly next to the Nature preserve "Krakower Obersee." A lookout tower on the southern coast of the upper lake of Krakow, near the village of Glave, offers scenic views of the lake panorama. The trail from Dobbin along the Upper lake to Krakow am See is particularly lovely. Locals refer to this trail as the "Pleasure Path." History buffs who visit Dobbin will find much to delight them, including a memorial to Queen Juliana, mother of Queen Beatrice, who as a child often vacationed in Dobbin.
